Motorcyclist dies in single-vehicle crash in Leeds County

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 21-year-old driver of a motorcycle has died in a single-vehicle crash in Leeds County.

In a news release Wednesday night, police say they were dispatched to a collision at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Ritz Road and County Road 11 near Morton, Ont., which is located about 45 kilometres northeast of Kingston, Ont.

OPP say the motorcyclist — a 21-year-old man from the Kingston area — was pronounced dead at the scene after succumbing to his injuries.

Police said they were closing the intersection while officers investigated.
