Motorbike rider dies after hitting a kangaroo on motorway


A motorcyclist has died after hitting a kangaroo in Sydney’s west.

The man was riding along the M4 at Claremont Meadows, east of Penrith, near the Mamre Road off-ramp on Tuesday about 1am before he hit the kangaroo.

NSW Police believe the motorcyclist was pushed into a roadside railing and suffered critical injuries.

He died at the scene. The kangaroo also died.
