Your country believes in you, supports you and your families, and I know every time a fatality or injury is reported on the news your families hold their breath, well we are there with them on that. Keep safe, come home to your loved ones and create a happy life here in the "lucky and awesome" country! If you need someone to listen I'm here if you need it, but talk to your families, you need them as much as they need you.

To all men and woman in uniform, of the Australian Army serving in overseas: "Only The Brave And Ready To Die Are Fit To Live In Freedom."

Mary Lou, Hallam, Victoria
I said a prayer for you today. And know God must have heard. I felt the answer in my heart - although he spoke no word! I didn't ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn't mind)! I asked him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind! I asked that he be near you at the start of each new day; To grant you health and blessings and most of all - it was for his loving care and protection I prayed for!

Suzanne Walding, Adelaide, SA
Memories of mates who have passed will ensure that they remain as part of the lifelong mateship formed in battle, such is the ANZAC spirit. Your service and sacrifice is too often tainted by media and politics, but know that your families love, prayers and pride is reinforced equally by all true Australians who respect and honour the way you all perform your duties, often above and beyond expectations. I pray you will all return safely.

Steve Chaplin, Perth, WA
As a retired 20-year serviceman and a Vietnam Vet, I share your pain and anguish in the horrendous loss of your mates. What is so tragic is, the loss created from "the enemy within". An old saying my Father (WWII serviceman) quoted to me before I served in Vietnam was "keep your head down, keep your powder dry and shoot bloody straight" - it served me well! Sadly our political masters had no concept whatsoever of the enormity of the task under which you have been sent to accomplish - your fellow Australian families and loved ones do and it is to this end that you can each feel immensely proud to wear that uniform with extreme pride and above else - dignity. I share with all my fellow Australians in saying "thank you" for doing your duty and wish you all a safe and eventual well rewarded return to your homeland - Australia! Thanks Diggers - I'll be raising my glass to you at "sundowners".

Barbanne, Sydney, NSW
YOU ARE THE BEST!! Our admiration, love and prayers are with you.
Thank you for your courage. God Speed....home.

Tom Slattery, Bendigo, Victoria
