Horrific video shows men pouring alcohol onto rabbit and launching it into the air
Disturbing footage has emerged of a group of men pouring alcohol over a rabbit before tossing it in the air.
The clip, filmed in WA’s Waroona on Saturday night, shows a group of raucous men manhandling the small animal, with several seen pouring cans of mixed spirit over it.
The group, some who are wearing lederhosen outfits, cheer and laugh as one of the men tries to kick the rabbit and another launches it in the air as he shouts: “Super bunny!”
Filmed on a rural property, the clip was condemned after it was uploaded to social media, Nine News reported.
The clip has since been deleted.
One of the men who was filming the incident has apologised for the role he played.
He told Nine News it was a “stupid mistake” but insists the rabbit was dead after becoming roadkill hours earlier.
WA Police are aware of the incident while the RSPCA has warned acts of animal cruelty can result in five years imprisonment and fines of up to $50,000.
The clip comes just days after an off-duty police officer was filmed stoning a wombat to death in South Australia.
