Man, 19, critically injured after falling off back of ute

A man has suffered critical injuries after falling off the back of a ute in Melbourne’s southeast.

Victoria Police said the ute was driving down Heatherhill Road in Frankston when the 19-year-old fell about 2.30am.

It is believed he was sitting on the tray with two other people.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining life-threatening injuries.

The other two passengers on the tray and the driver were not injured.

Police say they are assisting with enquiries.

The circumstances around the crash are yet to be determined and anybody with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a report online.
