Man, 19, critically injured after falling off back of ute

A man has suffered critical injuries after falling off the back of a ute in Melbourne’s southeast.

Victoria Police said the ute was driving down Heatherhill Road in Frankston when the 19-year-old fell about 2.30am.

It is believed he was sitting on the tray with two other people.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining life-threatening injuries.

The other two passengers on the tray and the driver were not injured.

Police say they are assisting with enquiries.
