McDonald’s announces two new 'highly requested' dipping sauces
McDonald’s is set to release four limited edition dipping sauces in July, with the first two being available from next week after a wave of requests.
On Monday, McDonald’s warned Australians should be prepared to get some chicken nuggets with the new sauces being released this week.
The "fan favourite" Cajun sauce will return this July, along with the Australian debut of the Szechuan Sauce.
In a media release, McDonald’s said the Cajun sauce is a blend of Dijon mustard, vinegar, honey and spices which make for a "creamy, sweet yet tangy flavour".
"This fan favourite sold out the last time it was released in 2020, so you’d better be quick," McDonald's said.
The Szechuan Sauce boasts an aromatic and rich blend of soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil.
"We know how much Macca’s fans love our Chicken McNuggets and sauces and we can’t wait to release a limited stock of some our highly requested sauces like Szechuan and Cajun sauces," McDonald’s Marketing Director Tim Kenward said.
The sauces will be available from Wednesday, July 6 until Tuesday, July 19, while stocks last, at McDonald's restaurants nationwide.

Details about the other two dipping sauces are yet to be announced.
While the sauces aren't set to launch for another week, Macca's "superfans" will have a chance to get their hands on their own supply of the sauces before they hit restaurants.
Fans will have a chance to embark on a three-day digital sauce hunt to claim the prize.
Starting on Tuesday, June 28 at 9am, people taking part in the Sauce Quest will have to solve clues and find hidden sauce splatters.
If you find all the splatters, you will go in the draw to win a personal stash of the Cajun and Szechaun sauces.
“Keep an eye on Macca’s socials for your first clue,” Mr Kenward said.
