A delivery driver’s adorable reaction to a woman’s kind gesture has melted hearts across the world.

The woman spotted the heart-warming moment, believed to have occurred in the US, on her security cameras and posted it to TikTok over the weekend.

She explained in the footage that her family had been ordering many packages during the coronavirus quarantine so she placed a basket outside filled with water bottles and snacks for delivery drivers.

The wicker basket can be seen sitting on top of a colourful stool with a sign reading: “Thank you for delivering our packages. Please take any water or snacks - we hope you have a great rest of the day!”

The woman, who goes by the username hero.skim, said she was worried no one would take any of the items but had quite the surprise when she saw the reaction of one grateful man.

CCTV footage shows him take at least a water before pumping his arms into the air and leaping as he practically skipped down the driveway.

“This person’s joy made my week... we didn’t deserve you!!” the woman captioned the TikTok video, which has been viewed 324,000 times.

More than a thousand people commenting on the video said the footage was sweet and heart-warming.

"It really is the little things that make a big difference," one person said.

An Amazon driver said they greatly appreciate snacks during their long shifts.

"Seeing stuff like this really does make our day. For months I was working 14 hour days, 6 days a week. Thank you," they said.
