Mob hangs 'burglar' from tree and keeps police away

Confronting vision has surfaced of an alleged burglar reportedly beaten by a mob then strung up by his wrists and left to swing from a tree.

According to media outlet My San Antonio, the man named Virgilio, can be seen swinging from a high branch from his wrists with his arms behind his back.

He can been seen in the vision swaying back and forth, seemingly in the breeze.

When furious residents from a city in southern Mexico found the man trying to steal from a home in their neighbourhood they took immediate action My San Antonio reports.

As the man continues to swing from the tree a large crowd can be seen congregating below, watching on.

When police arrived on scene the crowd reportedly attempted to dissuade them from releasing the man My San Antonio reports.

The officers were then reportedly attacked.

Following the scuffle two officers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries according to local reports.

The accused was reportedly later taken down and transported to hospital.

The incident reportedly occurred in Tulancingo, northeast of Mexico City on November 20.
