'Made my day': Woolworths shopper finds sweet note in delivery order

Woolworths shoppers have been treated to sweet surprises and lovely letters of late, with one man saying the kind gesture made his day.

One grateful shopper shared a photo to Facebook of the thoughtful note he discovered in his Click and Collect order from the supermarket giant, which he said he found while unpacking his groceries.

“Wishing you and your family a very happy Father’s Day,” the post-it note stuck to a bag of Darrell Lea treats said.

The man was incredibly grateful for the note, although it is unclear whether the treats were gifted to him by staff at the Melbourne store.

“Incredible, made my day,” he wrote on Facebook.

“It’s the little things, how awesome,” one person acknowledged.

Woolworths responded to the father on Facebook, also wishing him a happy Father’s Day.

“So glad our team at Millers Junction made your day,” the supermarket’s response said.

“We'll let them know your thoughts and we're sure that they'll be delighted to hear from you!”

It seems as though the man wasn’t the only customer to receive a polite surprise with their shopping.

Another woman shared a note she reportedly received along with a block of chocolate, which made for a “perfect” night in, amid the lockdown in Melbourne.

“Thank you for helping keep out community and team safe by shopping online with us,” the note said.

“We look forward to many more orders with you. Keep safe and enjoy this beautiful spring weather.”

The note was signed by the Woolworths Middle Brighton team in Victoria.

“The perfect gift for a Saturday night in lockdown,” the woman wrote on the Woolworths Facebook page, thanking the staff for the note.

“What a lovely little gesture from our lovely team from Middle Brighton,” Woolworths responded to the post, assuring her Woolworths would pass on her appreciation to the team at the store.
