Liverpool confirm Thiago Alcantara signing in £25m transfer from Bayern Munich on four-year deal
Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich in a deal that could rise to £25 million.
The 29-year-old, who won the Treble with the Bundesliga giants in his final appearance for the club, becomes Jurgen Klopp's second summer signing.
The Premier League champions agreed a deal with Bayern Munich worth £20m up front, with a further £5m to be paid in potential add-ons.
The midfielder has signed a four-year deal and will wear the no.6 shirt, which was left vacant after Dejan Lovren's departure.
“I think it’s an amazing feeling. I was waiting for this moment for a long time and I am very, very happy to be here," Thiago told the club's official website.

“When the years are passing, you are trying to win as much as you can – and when you win, you want to win more.
"I think this club describes what I am as well; I want to achieve all of the goals, win as many trophies as possible.
“It also [has] this kind of family [feeling] that I need because we [like to] have a very close relationship with the club and I think I will feel this, I will have this feeling, with this club as well.”
The Spain international is the second new arrival at Anfield this summer, following the acquisiton of Greek full-back Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos in August.
