Kerry Katona celebrates buying a house 13 years after 'losing everything'
Kerry Katona has revealed that she's bought her own home after "losing everything" 13 years ago.
The mother-of-five ran into financial trouble in 2008 when she was declared bankrupt for the first time, before filing for bankruptcy again in 2013.
Katona, 40, told her Instagram followers on Wednesday morning that she wanted to share the news to show she had managed to "turn things around" after struggles with her money, mental health, drugs and relationships.

She wrote: "Good morning you beautiful people!!! Well it’s official!! After losing EVERYTHING 13 years ago and having to rent I’ve finally bought me a house!!
"I want to share this news because many times over the years I literally felt suicidal! BUT I never gave up! If I can turn things around and get back on top ANYONE can. I’m not gonna lie Credit where credit due I’m really proud of myself. DONT EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF!!!!!!! Doesn’t matter if others don’t believe in you just as long as you believe in yourself! "
The former Atomic Kitten star thanked her fiancé Ryan Mahoney for "always having faith in her".
"Even 6 years ago I never thought I’d be where I am today!" she went on.
"It’s been bloody hard. Drugs, bankruptcy, bipolar, mental health, anxiety, divorcees breakdowns, car crash TVs WOW I honestly never thought I’d get through it all! But here I am."
In the same year she was first declared bankrupt, Katona caused concern during a This Morning interview when she appeared to be slurring her words.
She attributed the slurred speech to bipolar medication she had taken the night before.

"Tell yourself every day you love yourself, tell yourself every day your worth it and never ever let other people’s opinions define you as a person! Learn from it all, move on and help others," Katona added in her post.
While she has been living in East Sussex, the Cheshire-born star confirmed she would be moving back up north.
