Hunt for man after teen girl 'indecently assaulted' in Kmart

Police are hunting for a man after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly inappropriately touched while shopping at a Kmart store south of Brisbane last weekend.

On the morning of June 27, the teenager was shopping in the department store at Logan Central Plaza on Wembley Road when she encountered a man between 10am and 10.30am.

The girl tried to walk around the man, who deliberately walked into her and inappropriately touched her, Queensland Police allege.

The girl then walked away from the man, who continued to shop in the store.

CCTV footage released by Queensland Police on Facebook shows a man entering the Kmart store empty-handed and leaving with a single bag.

Police are now seeking the man to assist with their investigation into the “indecent treatment” involving the teenage girl.

The man is believed to be aged between 30 and 40-years-old, “scruffy looking” with short dark hair and a full beard.

The man has a medium build and was wearing a blue jumper or jacket and blue jeans.
