Hen's party revellers make creepy discovery after looking at photos - but can you see it?

A group of women enjoying a hen's party at an idyllic Scottish resort have been shocked by an strange discovery in a set of photos taken during their celebrations.

The ten revellers posed for a photo in front of the picturesque Loch Eck located among rolling hills in Cowan near the iconic Loch Lomond last year.

And like most hen's party, the trip quickly became a party to remember - but all for the wrong reasons.

As the women checked over a series of pictures they'd just taken, they were stunned to find an extra addition lurking in the background.

At the bottom left of one of the images, what appears to be a young boy appeared cowering over a wooden block.

The group were quickly spooked and decided to search the web for answers.

They discovered the hotel they were staying in was said to be haunted by the ghost of a young boy who had drowned in the loch while sleepwalking.

The story of the young boy came to national recognition during a 1994 BBC series called The Blue Boy, which was loosely based around the child.

British screenwriter Paul Murton told The Herald he discovered several disturbing occurrences while shooting the series.

"Hotel staff had noticed that things like cutlery and plates were often out of place for no apparent reason," he said.

"Perhaps more sinister than that was the fact that they sometimes found wet footprints upstairs in the corridor."

It is believed the women were so scared, they decided to cut short their stay at the hotel.

The images have since been sweeping social media in recent months with users equally spooked.

"Welp...not going to be sleeping tonight," one comment on Reddit read.

But others were sceptical of the pictures, suggesting it was just a passerby who had jumped into the shot.

"That just looks like a regular boy," another user wrote.
