Four jailed over drug-debt 'torture'

Four Sydney men have been jailed over the brutal four-hour torture of a bikie drug dealer in Bentley three years ago.

Brothers Cyrill and Serj Mansour, Andy Mannah and Niraj Singh were jailed this morning after they were found guilty of deprivation of liberty and grievous bodily harm.

The men flew into Perth in November 2011 and tortured Gary Visanich over unpaid debts, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury.

A fifth man, Stanley Nicholls, was jailed for two years and nine months today for helping dump a critically-injured Mr Visanich next to rubbish bins in a nearby park.

Cyrill Mansour, the principal offender who recruited the other men, was jailed for 12 years for his part in the "sustained and vicious attack".

His three accomplices were jailed for between eight and nine-and-a-half years.

Mr Visanich had facial fractures, serious head injuries, cuts and burns to about 12 per cent of his body when he was found.

The court was told his attackers burned him with boiling water and put cigarettes in his mouth.

Mr Visanich was importing methylamphetamine in oil form and was selling it to other dealers.

He owed Cyrill Mansour between $100,000 - $150,000 when he was attacked.

District Court Judge Julie Wager described the assault as cruel.

"You came to WA for one reason only, which was to collect the debt by any means," she said.

"It was, I will use a colloquial term, basically torture.

"His injuries were extremely serious."

Mr Visanich's injuries are so serious he was unable to testify at the trial.
