Ford sparks Star Wars safety concerns
The cast of the latest Star Wars movie are reportedly "livid" with filmmakers over an accident involving star Harrison Ford.
The 71-year-old actor was airlifted to an Oxford hospital after he was crushed by a hydraulic door at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England, while filming Star Wars: Episode VII late last week, leaving his co-stars concerned about safety.
Director J.J. Abrams is said to be trying to reassure the film's cast - which includes Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong'o, and Carrie Fisher - that immediate action will be taken to avoid further accidents.
"The cast are livid. They are openly questioning the safety of sets. They've asked for everything to be triple-checked," a source told The Sun newspaper.
"Everyone was thankful nothing hit Harrison's head.
"It's not known when he'll be ready to start filming again."
Ford - who plays Han Solo in the sci-fi franchise - is being treated in a trauma unit with a specialist fracture clinic.
His wife Calista Flockhart has flown to England from the US to be by his side.
