Fitness models 'really embarrassed' by typos on popular protein ball packaging

Melbourne fitness models Stephanie Claire Smith and Laura Henshaw were embarrassed to find two spelling errors on their protein ball packaging.

The pair run an online lifestyle program, Keep It Cleaner, which offers meal, fitness and mindfulness guides.

Keep It Cleaner also has a line of protein balls and shakes, which are available at Woolworths and Coles.

Customers were surprised to see two spelling errors on wrapping of the cinnamon doughnut and red velvet flavoured protein balls, which retail for $2.40.

The packaging printed “doughnut” as “doghnut” and “beetroot” as “betroot”.

A customer told the Daily Mail they were surprised by the errors on the two products and while she said the typos were “unprofessional”, she confirmed the products were still “delicious”.

Henshaw told the Daily Mail the company was embarrassed by the mistakes, but “as human beings mistakes are part of life and these things happen”.

“We have implemented a new packaging approval process in the company and the packaging has since been amended,” she said.

Keep It Cleaner has not pulled the items with the typos from the shelves as the spelling errors do not affect the quality of the product.

Henshaw and Smith created Keep It Cleaner because they were “firm believers that living a wholesome life is the key to success and happiness”.

Steph Claire Smith is an Australian model who has amassed over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, and her pal, Laura Henshaw, boasts an Instagram following of more than 245,000.
