Police first noticed the alleged stolen car in Southport but the driver sped off.

Authorities then saw him on Frank St in Labrador just before 6pm Wednesday.

The driver got caught up in heavy traffic before he allegedly drove through a red light, passed an intersection and drove up on to a footpath, smashing into a blue car.
