Dashcam Footage Captures Terrifying Audio From Smash-and-Grab Incident

A California woman was driving to work on April 2 when she said she was the victim of a terrifying smash-and-grab incident.

The victim of the incident, Caroline, said she was at an intersection in Vallejo when two men in ski masks bashed her car window and tried to take her purse. “I fought with them and didn’t let them take my purse and eventually they gave up,” she told Storyful.

Dashcam footage from the incident captured what sounds like glass breaking and Caroline screaming before driving away. She recorded separate footage on her phone after the incident showing glass covering her passenger seat.

The Vallejo Police Department told Storyful it was unable to confirm the number of suspects, but said the incident was under investigation. Credit: Caroline via Storyful
