Dash cam footage shows truck driver's audacious and illegal move

A truck driver has been caught on dash cam performing a ridiculously dangerous manoeuvre, endangering his and another truck driver’s safety.

The daredevil was shown driving in the left lane down an unknown country highway when the driver of the much bigger truck overtook him.

The overtaking was completed just as the dual carriageway transitioned into one lane, but for some reason the smaller truck driver made a sudden re-appearance.

Despite the road having narrowed into one lane, the small truck sped up and undertook the bigger truck from its left-hand side.

The large truck was forced to veer slightly into the opposite lane to allow room for the idiotic driver to get passed.

Both trucks narrowly made it back into the lane in time to escape another large truck that was coming towards them in the opposite direction.

The dramatic footage was shared to Facebook by Road Trains Australia The Original and soon sparked widespread criticism of the driver in the smaller truck.

“That could have been a fatality very easily. That driver needs a good punch in the teeth,” one social media user wrote.

“Quite obviously brain dead driver in the little truck,” another person said.

“What a bloody dill, hope cops see this and charge him,” a third person wrote.

The exact location of the incident was not clear, however the video was also shared to the NSW Traffic and Highway Patrol Command Facebook page on Sunday.
