Dad assaults teen for beating his son in a gaming contest
The shocking moment a dad assaults a teenager who had agreed to lose against his son in a video game but then reneged on the deal after pocketing his bribe has been caught on camera.
The angry dad reportedly beat up the young gamer in Palm Mall in the western Malaysian city of Seremban and the teen was later admitted to hospital with broken ribs, bruises all over his body as well as a spinal injury, according to local media.
The teenager was playing the suspect’s son in a video game competition taking place in a gaming store inside the shopping centre.
After beating the man’s son several times, the father approached him and reportedly bribed him with money to throw the next game.
However, the teen won again and the dad grew angry, allegedly throwing a chair at the victorious gamer and kicking him several times.
In the video uploaded to Twitter and seen by 36,000, several men are seen surrounding the teenager, who is sitting on the floor while a heavyset man in dark clothes kicks him several times.
As two onlookers pull the aggressor away, he lashes out again and kicks the seated boy hard in the head.
According to local media, the boy is in the Intensive Care Unit of the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital.
The suspect has reportedly been arrested and placed on remand as the investigation continues.
