Court appearance over double murder

The teenager charged over the double murder of a mother and daughter in their Warwick home has appeared in court from prison.

Police arrested Lesley Jonathon Cameron, 19, within 48 hours of 67-year-old Maureen Horstman and her daughter Tamara Horstman, 26, being found dead in their home.

They were discovered by their son and twin brother, Nicholas Horstman, who immediately called triple-0.

The charged teenager was living less than 1km from where Tamara's car was found dumped.

Today, he appeared in court via prison videolink. Lawyers for both the defence and prosecution agreed the case should be adjourned until March 26.

He was not required to enter a plea to the charges of murder and was remanded in custody.
