Couple flee Rockingham caravan fire

Two elderly residents fled their caravan before it was destroyed by fire in Rockingham overnight.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the blaze broke out inside the caravan, which was parked at a caravan park on Dixon Road, about 2.30am.

The accidental blaze caused $50,000 damage.

St John Ambulance officers treated the two residents for smoke inhalation.
