Costa Rica's "Cave of Death" extinguishes torch flame

This is the moment a man holds a torch in front of Alajuela, Costa Rica's famous Cave of Death (Cueva de la Muerte) on April 7, only for it to mysteriously extinguish. The cave emits a large amount of nearly pure carbon dioxide due to volcanic activity in the area, which drowns out oxygen in its path and is lethal to anything that enters.
