Collie woman on drug, weapon charges

A 34-year-old Collie woman has been charged after she was allegedly found with a throwing dagger and a quantity of drugs.

Police stopped the woman’s Holden Colorado utility in Lake Clifton just before 1am today.

A search of the vehicle uncovered the weapon and 28 tablets, believed to be MDMA, and items consistent with those used to sell or supply drugs.

The woman had a suspended driver’s licence.

Her male passenger was released at the scene and the ute was impounded for 28 days.

The woman has been charged with no authority to drive, possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply and possessing a controlled weapon.

She is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on July 15.
