Coles shopper left 'giggling' over cheeky message on roast pork

A family received a little more than they bargained for after picking up some pork from Coles.

While it was a regular cut of meat in most ways, the skin on its outside came complete with a particularly cheeky message stamped onto it.

The pattern of black dots under the rope holding the meat together looked like it said “sexy”.

The shopper, from Brisbane, shared her funny experience in a post to the supermarket’s Facebook page on Sunday.

“Preparing pork for dinner tonight... thanks for the giggle Coles,” she wrote.

She told Yahoo News Australia the pork was purchased from the Mango Hill store, in Queensland’s Moreton Bay region, on Sunday.

On closer inspection the letter that appeared to be an “S”, could have either been a “3” or a “5”.

Either way, the pork provided the family a wholesome laugh ahead of their Sunday roast.

A Coles spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia the matter was being investigated.

“Customers love our 100% Australian pork and our roasts are very popular,” the Coles spokesperson said.

“The branding on this roast seems a little cheeky and we’ll be following up with our supplier.”
