Coles have launched a new collectable just in time to keep kids entertained for the school holidays.
The Great Aussie Road Trip activity booklet is available from Coles Express and designed to educate little minds about Australia’s natural beauty and native animals.
Each week there will be a new sticker of a famous Australian landmark available to collect and adults won’t miss out either, with free products and in-store discounts ‘unlocked’ as children complete activities.
Coles Express Executive General Manager Michael Courtney said he hopes the books will be a hit with parents looking for ways to keep kids from getting bored on long car rides.
“We know that more than 60 per cent of Australians are planning on taking a holiday in the first half of 2021, and with international borders still closed, many families will soon take the opportunity to pack up the car and explore their own backyard,” Mr Courtney said.
“We’re delighted to have created a fun and engaging way for kids to learn more about the world around them, in the back seat of the car.”
The new Coles Express collectable book features artwork and learning activities from Bundjalung/Biripi Artist Nikita Ridgeway of Boss Lady Design and Communication, helping kids learn about Australia’s rich Indigenous history and culture.
Ms Ridgeway said she is excited to bring an “Aboriginal lens to the great Aussie road trip”.
“This project engages our youngest Australians and allows them to learn about the wonders within their own country at a vital time in their learning and development," she said.
"The artwork gives kids an opportunity to learn and understand more about Aboriginal Australia."
Coles Express Great Aussie Road Trip booklets are now available at all Shell Coles Express stores with a new Australian Landmark sticker released each week until May 2.
Weekly prize giveaways starting from April 5 include free coffee, banana bread and discounted petrol.
