‘Claim to Fame’ winner reveals cute story behind her sister Keke Palmer's name
All the secrets came out of the bag during the season finale of Claim to Fame, Tuesday, as we learned that Pepper is Dean Martin’s granddaughter and Logan is Jason Aldean’s cousin. Which meant L.C. was the last remaining mystery contestant on the show.
“Oh my gosh, I'm shaking,” L.C. said, following the win. “Like, my legs are literally shaking. I cannot believe that I just won.
Viewers were thrilled that L.C. won the $100,000 prize and that it was finally revealed who her famous relative is.
“My name is Loreal Chanel,” she revealed. “I am Keke Palmer's older sister. She is an actress, a singer, a Millennial diva. She is my biggest fan, just as much as I'm her biggest fan.”
While Keke is L.C.’s biggest fan, she recently said in a Glamour interview that she is not the biggest fan of the name Keke and would prefer to go by Lauren.
So why does she go by Keke? Well because L.C. told their parents that was the best name for her new little sister.
“My parents told me they were pregnant, andI said, ‘Can we name the baby Keke?’” L.C. explained. “And my mom said, ‘That's not a real name.’ And so they gave her the middle name Keyana so that we could call her Keke. And so she's been Keke her whole life.”
