Chopper pilot survives cattle station crash
A helicopter pilot has survived after crashing on a cattle station near Fitzroy Crossing yesterday.
A 41-year-old man received non-life threatening injuries when the helicopter he was piloting crashed, a police spokeswoman said.
He was at the controls of a Robinson R22 Beta 2 helicopter to muster cattle around 4.45pm when the helicopter went into a spin and crashed into a cattle yard.
The pilot was conveyed to Fitzroy Crossing Hospital.
The Air Transport Safety Bureau will investigate the crash.
