Follow the latest updates live from the opening Premier League match of the day as Chelsea host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge in a London derby.

With both sides failing to win last weekend - and Chelsea also being dumped out of the carabao Cup by Spurs in mid-week - they will be desperate to get back to winning ways, although the miserable weather brought by Storm Alex this week could be set to dictate how the match is played out.

Frank Lampard is set to hand a Premier League debut to new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, while Kai Havertz and Timo Werner will hope to bring their form in the Carabao Cup into the league, where they are yet to find the net since their arrivals at Stamford Bridge. Palace meanwhile are without striker Michy Batshuayi as he is not eligible to play against his parent club, but a victory today will throw them right back into the top-four running.
