WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT: A bullfighter has come close to death after he was gored by a beast during a recent tournament.
Arturo Macias, 35, was rushed to hospital after suffering a severe wound to his neck in San Marco, Mexico, The Mirror reports.
In dramatic and confronting video, he is gored three times by the beast before being carried off.
It starts with Mr Macias facing off against the beast, but the bull turns and charges, taking his feet out from under him.
The matador lies in the dirt and the bull kicks at him, rolling him off his back.
The 35-year-old tries to shield himself from the 508kg animal’s horns but it shoves him through the dirt.
The animal keeps goring Mr Macias as he flails on the ground before help arrives and escorts the matador from the ground.
Clearly in pain, the group carries Mr Macias off as he tugs away at his collar exposing a patch of blood on his neck.

A close up shows a cut to his throat, presumably from a horn while blood pours from his mouth.
Mr Macias later killed the bull before going to hospital.
Surgeons found air had entered the matador’s chest and neck as a result of the gaping wound.
He remains in hospital following the emergency operation.
The tournament was raising money for last month’s 7.1 magnitude earthquake in central Mexico, which killed more than 360 people.
