Dad, 34, and seven-year-old girl missing for two days

A desperate search is underway for a man and his daughter who were last seen in suburban Brisbane almost 48 hours ago.

Queensland Police have not issued an amber alert, which is a high-risk missing child alert, used in cases of grave concern.

But they hold concerns for the welfare of the 34-year-old and seven-year-old girl as this behaviour is out of character.

The man is described as 175cm tall, Caucasian, slim and with short brown hair.

The girl is about 130cm tall, Caucasian in appearance, slim and has shoulder-length, light brown hair.
