Boy, 4, struck after bike crashes through barrier at motocross event

A boy has been hospitalised after he was hit by a bike at a motocross event in Sydney’s west.

The bike crashed through the fence at the Eastern Creek event on Saturday just before 10.40am, hitting the four-year-old boy.

“The boy’s family, including mother, father and five-year-old brother, were also impacted but not seriously injured,” CareFlight said.

He was treated for head injuries by paramedics before his dad took him to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

The boy remains in a stable condition.

His mum and brother were also taken to hospital by NSW Ambulance.
