Boy, 3, critically injured after being hit by car at home


A three-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he was hit by a car at a private residence.

The Queensland Ambulance Service was called to the residence at Blacks Beach, just north of Mackay, about 10am (local time) on Saturday after reports the car had hit the child.

The three-year-old has suffered injuries to his head, chest, abdomen and lower legs.

The boy was transported by the Queensland Ambulance Service to Mackay Hospital before later being taken to Townsville. Source: AAP

He was transported to Mackay Hospital and later taken the Townsville Hospital about 2pm in a critical condition.

Queensland Police are investigating the circumstances around the incident.
