Bone-in ham recalled right before Christmas

A bone-in ham has been recalled over a listeria contamination just days out from Christmas.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand issued a recall of Vic’s meat bone-in ham half leg 4.5 kilogram on Friday.

The ham may contain Listeria monocytogenes contamination, Food Safety Standards said.

Listeria may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with low immune systems.

The product has been on sale at Simon Johnson, Victor Churchill and Vic’s Meat Brisbane in NSW, Queensland and Western Australia.
