Jet-skier's body found after fears he was taken by a shark

The body of a missing jet skier has been found two days after he went missing on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Luke Howard, 35, went missing on Monday while he was fishing on a jet ski in waters near Mudjimba Island.

It was feared he had been taken by a shark.

On Wednesday, police confirmed they had found the body of Mr Howard.

The 35-year-old was found dead off Mudjimba Island about 10am.

It is understood there were no signs he had been attacked by a shark.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
