Blind clairvoyant Baba Vanga’s six ‘terrifying’ predictions for 2022
Baba Vanga, a blind clairvoyant from the Balkans whose prophecies are supposedly still coming true 25 years after her death, has a number of predictions for 2022.
Real name Vangelia Gushterova, Baba Vanga was nicknamed “the Nostradamus of the Balkans” for her eerily accurate predictions including the rise of ISIS and Brexit.
According to the Weiser Field Guide to the Paranormal, Baba Vanga lost her vision at age 12 and claims it led to her becoming clairvoyant.
While it's important to note that her predictions are not gospel truth, Baba Vanga made six terrifying predictions for 2022 before she died in 1996.
Severe famine, a plague of locusts and alien invasion
According to MSN News, Baba Vanga predicts in 2022 the world will experience an increase in natural catastrophes, including tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes and bushfires.
The late clairvoyant also reportedly mentioned Australia and several Asian countries will be hit with a bout of disastrous floods.
She also prophesied that a team of researchers will discover a lethal virus in Siberia, while many countries will be affected by a lack of drinking water.
Other predictions Baba Vanga made include severe famine, a plague of locusts in India, and virtual reality taking over reality for many people.
Perhaps the most eyebrow-raising of the predictions included alien ships attacking the earth – which makes 2022 sound like the plot of a sci-fi movie starring Tom Cruise.

Past predictions
Previously, the Bulgarian reportedly made a number of predictions which actually came to fruition including the fall of the Soviet Union, the political victory of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The mystic also anticipated the death of Princess Diana, the Chernobyl disaster, and devastating Boxing Day tsunami in 2004 – which left 227,898 dead.
Even though she did not explicitly foresee the Coronavirus pandemic, she predicted “devastating events” to happen in 2021.
She prophesied: "We are witnessing devastating events that will change the fate and destiny of humanity."
Last year, she predicted that dragons would “seize humanity” and take over the planet, Donald Trump will contract a “mysterious disease that will leave him deaf, and cause brain trauma".
She also envisioned humanity would find the cure for cancer in 2021.
Thankfully, not all of Baba Vanga’s predictions have come true, including the end of the world in 2021, Obama being the last US president in 2016 and the start of World War III in 2010.
