Police have released CCTV footage taken during a bizarre robbery in Melbourne where the intruder took a bath, shaved, brushed his teeth, cooked some noodles and used a PlayStation.
He was inside the property for five hours.
The man allegedly broke into a house in Hassett Lane in Cranbourne North at around 8.10pm last Wednesday.
Police are hoping that releasing the CCTV will help track down the suspect, who they believe also masturbated while inside the property, according to evidence at the scene.
Internet records show the man logged on and played a PlayStation game while at the property.
Police say the man also stole a number of electrical items from the house before leaving in an unknown direction.
Detective Senior Constable Angela Butler, of Casey CIU, told the Herald Sun they've been left baffled by the man's actions.
“It is a very odd one,” Sen Con Butler said.
“It is the couple’s first home and they are mortified.”
The man is described as being aged in his 20s, with a large build and brown short hair.
He left wearing a grey Richmond hooded jacket, black shorts, brown calf-length UGG boots and a black cap.
He was also carrying a distinctive black Nike bag with a pink tick, a red savers shopping bag, a blue Aldi shopping bag and another black bag slung over his shoulder.
CCTV shows the man outside the property.
“It is clear CCTV but we can’t see his face,” Sen Con Butler said.
“If anybody saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area or a suspicious vehicle I would like them to get in touch.”
Police are hoping to speak with the man depicted in the images released.
