Aussie McDonald's worker speaks out after young girls 'attack staff'
Disturbing scenes have been caught on camera at a Macca's restaurant.
A McDonald's employee has spoken out after her colleagues were attacked while trying to do their job in Melbourne this week. Viral video of the incident shows a group of girls aged between 12 and 17 terrorising workers in a horrific mid-morning brawl.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the employee said the altercation at Macca's in Melbourne Central Shopping Centre allegedly began at 11.30am on Wednesday after the girls demanded a drink from the food collection counter but were unable to provide a receipt of their order.
In the footage, which was posted on TikTok and Reddit, the girls can be seen screaming, swearing and attempting to throw punches at young team members, who tried to protect themselves before the duty manager stepped in.
'A mess'
"They wanted a drink but didn't order anything — they didn't have a receipt. It was a mess. It all happened within five minutes," the employee told Yahoo News.
She alleged that one of the teens threw a drink at a staff member and one worker allegedly had hair pulled out during the terrifying incident. "It happens, unfortunately," she added.

The footage also shows an adult male customer trying to break up the vicious fight, which was also captured on CCTV and by onlookers recording on their phones.
Teen girls arrested
In a statement, a Victoria Police spokesperson said four teenage girls were arrested by Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives after an alleged robbery and assault in Melbourne's CBD on September 20.
"A group of girls allegedly approached a 15-year-old girl on a platform at Melbourne Central railway station and made demands for her handbag about 11.20am," she said. "The girl sustained minor injuries during the incident. The group of teens allegedly fled the scene, before being involved in a physical altercation at a fast-food restaurant a short time later."
A 17-year-old St Kilda girl is expected to be charged on summons, while a Mill Park girl, 12, a Coburg North girl, 13, and a Preston girl, 14, received cautions for attempted robbery and recklessly causing injury and affray.
McDonald's addresses 'unacceptable' incident
In a statement, McDonald's Australia told Yahoo News: "The safety and wellbeing of our crew and customers is our top priority. Anti-social behaviour is not tolerated in our restaurants. We won't accept abuse intimidation, threats or violence towards our customers or employees.
"Our employees acted in accordance with our emergency response procedures and immediately contacted police. No crew members were injured during the incident and we are continuing to support crew and their families."
