Aussie influencer breaks her silence after partner charged with murder

An Australian influencer has spoken for the first time since her partner, who she shares a child with, was charged over the murder of his mother.

Gracie Piscopo's partner, Andre Zachary Rebelo, was escorted by police out of their Perth home in North Coogee last week, after a two-year investigation into the death of Colleen Rebelo, 58, on May 25, 2020.

The 26-year-old reported cryptocurrency trader is the long-time partner of Ms Piscopo, appearing to be together since 2015 according to their social media profiles.

The Instagram influencer with more than 1 million followers has since deleted all her photos with her partner on social media, as well as tearfully sharing that she is "just focusing on (her) son right now," The West Australian reports.

The publication has also revealed the mother is currently in a vulnerable state, with “home doctors coming to look after her”.

The woman rose to fame following a 2019 modelling campaign for Khloe Kardashian’s clothing brand Good American.

Circumstances around woman's death are unknown

Last week, WA Police homicide detective sergeant Clinton Bragg declined to reveal Mrs Rebelo’s cause of death, and at what point they believed her death became suspicious, saying all deaths are treated as such “until we can say that they are not," The West Australian reports.

Neighbours have alleged Mr Rebelo was the one who found his mother’s body at her home in the suburb of Bicton, and called for help, according to The West.

Mr Rebelo is due to face the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on December 21.
