While travelling north on the Pacific Highway at Chinderah in northern NSW, the driver saw a snake slither up the bonnet of his car, possibly trying to cut corners on its own journey.

Not long ago, a family in NSW had a similar experience on a busy highway with a green tree snake.

The couple and their young son had been on the road for 250 kilometres from their holiday north of Coffs Harbour, and were 30km from their home in Forster when the snake appeared into view.

Having no where to stop yet, the poor snake continued to stay glued to the grill, and started swinging from side to side after losing its hold, revealing how big the creature was.

"It's so f***ing scary," the man driving the car said. "Bet it's dizzy, his wife piped in, who was recording.
