Two women caught on video hurling racial abuse at train passenger

A shocking racist rant directed at a passenger on a Melbourne train has been caught on camera.

Footage of the incident was uploaded to Facebook on Tuesday of two young, blonde women sitting across the train carriage from another woman.

The woman sitting by herself asks the two women to stop staring at her as an argument erupts.

"Make me shut up. I ain’t gonna shut up. I ain’t never gonna shut up," one of the young women can be heard yelling.

When the victim tries to defend herself, the young woman retaliates with: “What are you going to do? Go back to your own f****** country.

“It’s my country, it’s not your f***ing country.”

The young woman could also be heard dishing out other insults.

As the tirade continues, fellow passengers can be seen moving closer to intervene, including Patricia Bonnar who filmed the incident.

Ms Bonnar said she and her friends were travelling into the city from Frankston for a concert when the incident started.

"Next thing we heard this abuse and we didn't know what was going on," she told Yahoo7.

"They were picking on her and racially abusing her."

Victoria Police are aware of the footage that was taken on the Frankston train line.

Ms Bonnar said the incident was "pretty scary" and the two "feral" women looked like they "were capable of anything".

"[The victim] was very shaken up about it," she said, adding she and her friends hit the emergency button on the train to try and alert railway staff of the incident.

Ms Bonnar and her friends went to sit next to the victim - who was from the Philippines - but the two young women then turned on them, using "unbelievable" language to abuse them.

"[The victim] was so glad we sat with her and supported her," she said.

Ms Bonnar said they had also called police following the incident. Victoria Police are aware of the footage.
