WATCH: Kayaker paddles over raging 30-metre high waterfall

The nerve-wracking moment a kayaker takes a 30 metre drop down a waterfall has been captured on video.

Kayaker Lachie Carracher was seen paddling to the edge of Dangar Falls in in Dorrigo in northern New South Wales on Friday.

He can be seen at the top of the swollen river, paddling to the edge for the inevitable 30 metre drop.

Footage shows him take the leap of faith. It takes him a few seconds to surface when he hits the bottom.

Another kayaker can be seen paddling over to Mr Carracher to help flip him upright.

The pair then hold their kayaks together so they don't get separated.
