Mum's genius lifehack for pain-free splinter removal

A mum’s pain-free method in removing splinters using a needle-less syringe has gone viral.

UK woman Claire Bullen-Jones shared her tip on Facebook which she said she’s used to rid her little ones of splinters for years.

While she specifically mentions a Calpol-brand syringe, available with children’s medicine in the UK, the procedure can be done with any regular, needle-less syringe.

“Make sure it’s clean obviously,” she writes.

“Put the small hole at the bottom of the syringe as best you can over the splinter.

"Once you know your above it, make sure the syringe is touching the skin-and pull!”

Mrs Bullen-Jones recommended pulling back the plunger fast and if it’s a “stubborn splinter, just do this a couple of times”.
