Woman rips off burqa in act of defiance after being liberated from ISIS
A woman liberated from ISIS has torn off her black burqa to reveal a vibrant sash in an act of defiance.
The footage was released by the People's Protection Units after the woman was freed from ISIS rule with Kurdish forces driving most of the extremists out of Raqqa.
The woman can be seen hugging her liberators before displaying a peace sign.
She then removes her burqa while jumping up and down to reveal a colourful garment underneath.
ISIS have been forced out of 90 per cent of the Syrian city by Kurdish forces.

The city has been under Islamist rule since 2014.
"The battle will continue until the whole city is clean," said a statement by the Syrian Democratic Forces said, the ABC reported.
