'World's worst' Airbnb guest leaves behind piles of rubbish, scores of alcohol bottles, uses 'bed as toilet'

A woman has returned home to find her previously spotless apartment had been covered in rubbish, faeces and alcohol bottle by an Airbnb guest.

Model Laurie Synakowski had the male guest stay at her Paris flat last month and now wants compensation, saying the "world's worst" guest cost her more than $16,000.

Shocking photos show the bed covered in brown stains, the toilet blocked and empty bottles all over the floor.

“My charming new studio has literally transformed itself into a vulgar 'squat' filled with excrement, urine and an impressive quantity of alcohol bottles,” she said, according to The Sun.

“The urine has taken possession of the charming studio from the floor to the ceiling; the entrance door which hardly closes, the bed which has served as a toilet."

Ms Synakowski said the apartment has been infested with insects and she has been unable to live there as a result.

She said after he left, she learnt the temporary tenant suffered from alcoholism.

The model has since spent much of her savings on cleaning the apartment and is now seeking compensation.

Airbnb said the man has been banned from using the app.
