Six injured as car hits soldiers near Paris: report

Six people have reportedly been injured after a car hit soldiers near Paris in France.

Reuters reports police are searching for a vehicle at Levallois-Perret.

Early reports suggest two of the victims were seriously hurt while four suffered "light" injuries.

The soldiers are said to have just left their barracks when a vehicle drove at them.

Police say the BMW appeared to target the group, however, the motive is unclear.

However, Sky News in the UK has quoted Levallois-Perret's mayor saying he believes it to be a deliberate act.

The soldiers were reportedly linked to Operation Sentinelle, set up after the 2015 Charlie Hebdo attacks to clamp down on terrorism in France.

More to come.
