Baby dies in hot car while mum in hair salon for six hours

A mother has been charged with murder and accused of trying to cover up her baby's death after she allegedly left her in a hot car while at the hair salon for six hours.

Dijanelle Fowler went to her appointment at the Northlake Festival shopping plaza in Georgia on June 15 at 10am and CCTV footage shows her spending six hours inside before returning to her car, the arrest warrant alleges.

Fowler had a man help her jumpstart the car after she left it running and police said baby Skyler was already dead in the back seat, 11 Alive reported.
