WATCH: Kurdish sniper laughs off ISIS bullet just missing her head

A journalist has captured the moment a brave Kurdish woman laughs off an ISIS bullet just missing her head during a shootout.

The woman is a YPJ (Women’s Protection Units) sharpshooter and was joined by journalist Hemze Hamza, who filmed the woman as she narrowly escapes death.

Hamza shared the video on Twitter of the woman engaged in a shootout in Raqqa City.

The moment the bullet comes flying past her head is visible on the video as it ricochets off the side of the wall just behind her.

While most would be clearly shaken and frightened, she slowly bends down in a fit of laughter to her colleagues and even pokes her tongue out sheepishly.

Hamza tweeted the video and wrote “Kurdish women know no fear. Your average human being would be scared for life after being so close to death but she kept laughing”.

The YPJ is an all-female Kurdish military branch of the of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) to defend from attacks by ISIS militants as well as the Syrian government and Al Qaeda.
