Internet divided over video of bouncer punching woman

This is the shocking moment a bouncer has been captured punching a woman in the face, however debate is raging online about who is in the wrong after the woman swung first.

The confronting vision shows the woman take a swing at the security guard with her right fist but he ducks and she fails to connect.

He then retaliates and swings back, hitting her in the face.

The woman then stumbles backwards on the street from the force of the punch.

She eventually regains her composure and walks away from the man as passers-by stop and stare at the drama that has just unfolded.

The incident took place in Liverpool in the UK and since it was originally posted on Twitter it’s sparked a huge debate - with many people commenting as to who was in the wrong.

“Brutal footage? I see a man defending himself and an attacker getting what they deserve,” one male commenter wrote.

White another social media user wrote, “If she didn't attack him she wouldn't have got his retaliation.”

“You behave like a man, you get treated like one. Equality as its best,” another wrote in defence of the bouncer.

However some commenters took the side of the female writing, “As an ex-doorman myself this is f*****g disgusting, not enough characters to go into it as it's just shocking. Hope she's ok. Just no need.”

“Size of him he could've held her off. Lucky she didn't fall back and smack her head or he might've been on a manslaughter charge,” another wrote.

It’s unclear why the altercation began and if authorities became involved.
