Awkward! PM takes woman's phone, tries for better angle selfie

With his popularity at it's lowest level, the Prime Minister did his best to rally support on a Sydney train.

But unfortunately for Malcolm Turnbull, his attempts at a perfect selfie didn't go to plan.

Vision has emerged of the moment Mr Turnbull takes a selfie with a female commuter, and then refuses to give the woman her phone back.

It seems Mr Turnbull was keen for a better angle, taking another happy snap with the woman before returning the phone.

The woman can be heard saying "that's great" after the camera clicks, but the PM was keen for further conversation.

"Now do you have any daughters or....," Mr Turnbull can be heard saying.

"I have three sons," the woman replies while reaching out for her phone.

The PM, seemingly unaware of the situation, continues.

"Three sons? Ok, alright, Ok," he says.

It's not the first time the PM has used public transport and taken selfies with fans.
